About the book
A memoir shaped by volunteering with Special Olympics New Jersey, where some races are not about winning. Through moments of hesitation, courage, mistakes, trust and perseverance, the book looks beyond results to the people and experiences behind the competition.
What begins as observation becomes personal reflection on resilience, effort and human connection, and on what remains after the finish line.
